ABOUT US
The ITE Project is a Catholic mission that unites young adults in the Cleveland Diocese through monthly pop-up events blending service projects, faith formations, and vibrant socials.
We are a dynamic community of young adults of all types who believe everyone has a place at the table of Christ. All are welcome including those of other faiths, the doubting, and the atheistic.
At ITE events you will find the single and the married people, young families and friends of all abilities and working backgrounds.
Our events are intentionally designed to be enjoyed at your comfort level -- there is no "membership" here. Choose events that fit your schedule and preferences and know there will be a welcoming group of people there to meet you.
We sincerely believe the fullness of the Truth brings the fullness of life and we strive to create a consistent, safe community for young adults.

Our
Story
ITE MISSA EST
The ITE Project is a young adult Catholic mission which hosts pop-up events in Summit and Medina counties.
The word "ITE" is taken from the closing of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass in which the laity are commanded "Ite, missa est". This is roughly translated into "Go forth, the Mass is ended." It is the sending-- the command to take what we receive in the Mass into the world and serve as Christ as He serves.
Church Latin is pronounced /EE-tay/.
The vulgar Latin is pronounced /IT-tay/.
We gladly go by either.
Most people attending events are young adults in their 20s and 30s. There are always new faces at events so please don't be shy about being new. You are welcome here!
The ITE Project strives to create space for individuals to encounter Christ through curated events to serve different interests. Several times a year there are service projects like clothing or food drives or baby showers for the underprivileged. There are events designed to deepen one's faith like retreats, Bible studies or prayer events. And there are even incredible socials like game and karaoke nights, hikes, movie nights and more.
ITE works in the diocese of Cleveland but is not affiliated with any particular church. Events are hosted mostly in Akron and the surrounding communities.
