About The Event
One of the most devastating words in our language is cancer. And everything changes when it happens to one of your own.
Peter Garvin, a quiet, kind member of the Body, was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of neuroendocrine carcinoma. This cancer took a once strong body and riddled it with complications. His beautiful family stands faithful by his side, confident in Christ and witnessing the gospel of Love in the hardest of circumstances. And although this cancer has claimed his earthly being, his heavenly won is triumphant.
During these days of transition, our responsibility to this family is to fulfill their needs as best we can.
This is our beginning plan:
We are firstly offering a Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls on Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m.
We are secondly assembling (hopefully) the most beautiful, fullest spiritual bouquet ever seen. If you will offer any form of prayer for Pete and his family, please send your prayer and intentions to LovePeterGarvin@gmail.com. The ITE Project will collect these prayers and handwrite them on individual papers to fold into a paper flower bouquet. This bouquet will first be presented at the Mass. Prayers will continue to be collected and new bouquets given as long as prayers are sent.
Thirdly, The ITE Project will host a GoFundMe to help MaryBeth with her immediate, pressing financial needs.
We have further plans for the continued race this family has been asked to run. Please stay close to us and any additional CaringBridge updates for more information.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body. 1 Corinthians 12-13
