Coming Home: A Work of Mercy

What if you could be a part of bringing a child home? 

What if you could help to bring a family together? 

What if you could have fun while providing hope?

We have an idea of how to do it. 

We will be hosting a very special yard sale to benefit a family going through the process of adoption. Here is their story:

Joe and I have always talked about looking into international adoption. Over the last few months, we have been looking into a Christian based program that works with international hosting and adoptions. We found the story of a sweet girl that is getting ready to age out of the system soon and is desperately looking for a forever home. Aging out of the system means that she will be turning 16 this fall and if she does not have someone actively pursuing to adopt her by her birthday, she can no longer become a citizen in the US. Since we cannot share her personal information or pictures, we call her "Miss N". She is a beautiful child, inside and out, and is described by others as: nurturing, loving, compassionate, a leader and always willing to help others. Our daughters are SO excited to have a big sister and cannot wait to welcome her into our hearts and home.

We will be collecting donations to sell in a yard sale to benefit this family and help to cover the costs of international adoption. We need volunteers to come on the day of and help with the sale and also run some simple games for the kids! To sign up for a volunteer spot Click Here.

Donations will be accepted from Monday, June 14th - Saturday, June 19th. Donations can be dropped off at 416 Crestview Ave, Akron. *This is a private residence so please be respectful considering drop-off times and also where you leave your donations.
