Fall Retreat: Refuge
Time & Location
About The Event
For thousands of years the Psalms have gently captured the movements of our human hearts: despair, hope, thanksgiving, lament, anger, peace. In the times we live, many of us have rocketed through all of these emotions and have struggled to articulate our experiences collectively.
Refuge is to an opportunity to help you sort through the emotional experiences of the last year and help you prepare for the year’s close by uncovering God’s love and refuge for you in the psalms.
Usually, our Fall Retreat takes place in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is an over-night weekend retreat. This year is highly unusual, but we have done our best to provide a retreat experience that is as close to our "usual" as we could get. So, this year our retreat will take place at St. Andrew's Parish in Norton - right across the street from Silver Lake Metro Park. This will not be an over-night retreat as St. Andrew does not have over-night accommodations. The retreat will be open on Saturday Morning at 9:30am with a continental breakfast with an official start time of 10am. At approximately 10pm we will conclude Saturday's events. We will reconvene at 10am on Sunday morning for the day's events and the retreat will close with Mass at 4pm. We will be sending out a schedule of retreat events to registered participants. All meals within these time frames will be included.
We also have a virtual option available. We will be live-streaming all retreat talks and will send virtual participants a retreat packet with a schedule as well as journal questions to help guide your retreat-from-afar. Simply choose the virtual option at registration.
The cost of the retreat is $79 with early registration (before Labor Day) and $99 after Labor Day.
We know this year will be different - as everything else has been - but we hope you will join us in-person or from afar to journey through the psalms and reconnect with Our God.
