Gravestone Work of Mercy

We will meet at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron to pray for the dead.  As the Church Militant (those here on earth) it is important that we pray for the poor souls in purgatory.  This particular Work of Mercy allows us to pray for the deceased, whether they are rejoicing with the saints in heaven or waiting for the purification to be completed.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.  ITE will purchase 350 carnations and have them available.  You will simply take a handful of flowers, visit any grave in the cemetery, and leave a flower on the headstone when you are finished praying for that soul.

A deeply reflective event, this is a time when we work as the Body of Christ in unity as the living for the dead.

Coordinates 41.02689, -81.52245 This should be a large building and our intended meeting place.  We will meet at the front.  The building is about two thirds of the way back towards the left after you enter the cemetery.

The event is over once all the flowers are placed.  See you there!
