About The Event
Bring what you've got, put it in the pot.
Do you remember reading Stone Soup? That childhood story where the clever beggar convinced the stingy village folk into sharing their food? Everyone gave just a little bit-- some leftover carrots, an onion, a few potatoes -- and then suddenly there was a bountiful meal that everyone could share together?
Something about that sounds right to us for some simple fun.
Join us for "Stone Soup!" - the event where we all bring a little and enjoy the community that comes from it.
Here is what you can bring:
- something to contribute to the soup: vegetables (please have them chopped), grains, protein, herbs - this is a great way to repurpose that lonely carrot in your refridgerator or that half cup of pasta that isn't quite enough for a meal. We'll provide the broth and count on you for the rest! It's a Lenten meal in the best way possible. (note: if you bring meat, please have it cooked beforehand)
- a donation for a Matthew 8:20: Here is what they're looking for - toilet paper, white athletic men's socks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, deodorant, brush/combs
ITE will provide bread, salad as well and cards so we can play a little too!
We hope you'll join us for a little brightness in the Lenten season!
