About The Event

Do you remember reading Stone Soup?  That childhood story where the clever beggar convinced the stingy village folk into sharing their food?

Everyone gave just a little bit-- some leftover carrots, an onion, a few potatoes -- and then suddenly there was a bountiful meal that everyone could share together?

ITE is feeling those nostalgic vibes.

Join us as we run a canned food drive to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Paul’s in Akron.  You bring a few cans or boxes of food and we will provide a lunch worthy of togetherness.  We will also have presentations about local hunger issues and how you can get involved in the fight against it.

**An RSVP is necessary so we can prepare the right amount of different soups, salads, breads and treats.  Please note any dietary restrictions with your RSVP.  We are happy to accommodate you!
